AMS UK is looking for someone enthusiastic and friendly to work with our small team based in the Central Office in Birmingham to assist in the delivery of our services to member schools in the Midlands Hub. You will have the opportunity to meet headteachers and staff members while helping to arrange meetings and conferences as well as visit some of our schools in the region, helping to develop relationships with members.
This post suits experienced administrators looking for an extra day or two of work in a quiet environment. There is also the possibility of gaining extra hours during busy periods in the school year. Recent graduates looking to build up their work skills would also find employment at AMS UK very useful due to the diverse nature of our activities.
Applicants can be based remotely; at home, from another place of work (such as a school) or at our central office, however travel to events/meetings will be necessary from time to time.
<li>1-2 days a week starting in July + extra hours during busy periods</li>
<li>£8.00/hour + expenses</li>
<li>Developing and maintaining relationship with member schools in the Midlands Hub.</li>
<li>Promoting AMS UK events and services to staff and leadership of regional schools.</li>
<li>Reporting on hub activity.</li>
<li>General administrative duties pertaining to the hub (e.g. invoices, correspondence)</li>
<li>Assisting the work of the Central Office</li>
<li>Service regional events/meetings in co-operation with Hub Co-ordinator/Cluster Leads/Central Office:
<li>Arrange event/meeting and invite relevant contacts.</li>
<li>Arrange refreshments and/or lunch.</li>
<li>Take registration, collect feedback sheets and/or record minutes.</li>
<li>Keeping records of Midlands Hub activity (events, feedback, finance, etc)</li>
<li>Updating website with information about events and programmes.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal skills</li>
<li>Fluent in Microsoft Word and Excel</li>
<li>Travel within Midlands for events/meetings</li>
<strong>Desirable previous experience</strong>
